Moving Volunteers

Current volunteers

CWS Jersey City greatly appreciates how much work volunteers do to help make refugees welcome in their community. In order to capture the efforts of all of the volunteers in our community, we have created some simple forms.

  • Volunteer Hours lets us know how much time you have spent with a particular client or on a specific task. Volunteer time is valuable, and every effort helps!
  • Case Notes provide a way to communicate confidential information regarding an individual. CWS staff use this information to make sure refugee needs are met.

New Volunteers

CWS volunteers help refugees with everything from navigating their new city to practicing for a job interview. If you are interested in volunteering with CWS, please complete a Volunteer Application and submit it to cwsjerseycity@cwsglobal.orgVolunteer Application CWS Jersey City

CWS Jersey City hosts volunteer orientations to provide an overview of the refugee resettlement program and to describe current volunteer needs. Please check back for more information about our next scheduled orientation, or follow us on Facebook.

CWS receives many requests, so we apologize in advance if there is a delay in our response. Priority is given to volunteers who are available during standard business hours. All volunteers are required to go through a screening and interview process that includes a background check.
