Who We Are

Church World Service is a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.

CWS Jersey City was opened in 2015 as a refugee resettlement site to serve northern New Jersey. We are a federally accredited refugee resettlement agency. We offer comprehensive case management to over 4000 clients a year. These clients include refugees, asylees, asylum seekers, Cuban Haitian entrants, Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees and Afghan Humanitarian parolees.

We are funded by a combination of local, state, federal and private funders and we rely on community support to provide robust and comprehensive services to our many clients.
